Introducing DataDaft: Data Science for Everyone

The amount of data science learning content available online has grown exponentially in recent years, giving learners a wide range of educational opportunities, but also making it difficult to know where to start. Data science courses vary greatly in depth, breadth and complexity, so it can be a daunting task for a someone new to the field to find the right introductory course.

I have created a new YouTube channel called DataDaft geared toward creating a place for everyone with an interest in data science to learn and grow. To start, I plan to create two 30-part video series that teach R and Python for data analysis from the ground up, walking through the content from my written programming guides in a video format. My hope is that this will make the content more accessible for viewers who prefer learning via audio and video formats. You can link to the Introduction to R playlist I am currently working on here.

I may expand DataDaft in the future, such as creating a website with data science news and learning materials, doing live streaming or creating a discord community for those interested in data science. Feel free to use the above links to check out the channel and follow on Twitter for updates: https://twitter.com/DataDaft.
